Executive Assistant/Office Manager

Location: East Lansing, MI

Pay Range: $28,000 - $31,000

Qualifications:
The Executive Assistant/Office Manager position requires knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through the completion of a four-year college degree program or equivalent experience. This position also requires a minimum of five years of progressively more responsible or expansive experience supporting high-level executives, strong skills in customer relations, organization, multi-tasking, written and verbal communication, and time management.

Candidates must possess strong computer skills, including MS Office products including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Previous administrative, executive assistant, bookkeeping including experience with Quickbooks or other accounting software, and financial management experience is required. Must have the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and handle sensitive material concerning the organization and the Co-Owners’ roles within the organization.

Position Description:
The Executive Assistant/Office Manager manages and facilitates all administrative and technical support necessary for the efficient flow of information to and from the Co-Owners, employees, customers, and outside suppliers. This position performs day-to-day administrative and clerical tasks such as answering telephones, using word processor, mail handling, filing, scheduling, arranging meetings, composing and typing correspondence, proofreading and correcting correspondence; and operating and maintaining copier, fax, and other office equipment.

The Executive Assistant monitors the operating budget and assists with confidential and sensitive human resource issues by researching discrepancies, problem solving, answering inquiries and complaints, and gathering data. This position also performs bookkeeping duties including writing checks, balancing checkbook, making deposits and withdrawals, and keeping track of expenditures.
