Organization Background:
The Ingham Regional Healthcare Foundation is the nonprofit, fundraising subsidiary of Ingham Regional Medical Center (IRMC), a part of the rapidly expanding McLaren Health Care Corporation, acclaimed as one of the top integrated health care systems in the nation.
Position Description:
The Foundation Director reports to the President and CEO of Ingham Regional Medical Center who also serves as President of the Foundation. This position works closely with the Hospital and Foundation Officers, Executive Committee, and Board of Trustees to provide overall leadership, direction, and strategic planning. The Foundation Director works with leadership to develop and execute the annual budget and manages a staff of three employees including a Development Officer.
This position works with the Director of Marketing & Administration to ensure marketing and communication materials are promoting the services of the Medical Center. The Foundation Director also coordinates marketing plans for the Foundation, including events and programs, exhibits, & other activities; and oversees development of the Foundation’s website to enhance the its mission.
The Foundation Director establishes short and long term goals for fundraising, manages donor and planned giving programs, and develops initiatives and programs to increase Foundation giving while ensuring all fundraising is conducted in an ethical and professional manner.
Qualifications:
Candidates interested in this position must have a Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or a related field and five to ten years of progressively more responsible experience in fund development, major gift donations and planned giving. A Master’s Degree, Certification as a Fundraising Executive (CRFE), and in depth knowledge of Lansing and the business and social community are preferred.
Successful candidates must have high integrity, possess proven results as a leader in the foundation arena, strong written and oral communications skills and be passionate about the purpose and mission of the Medical Center and Foundation.
